What Is Fahm-ul-Quran?
Fahm-ul-Quran means developing an understanding of the Quran’s message and meaning — not only sounding out the Arabic text. This course is a structured way to practise that work with a teacher, live and one-to-one, in Urdu.
You explore translation, important vocabulary, themes, explanatory context, lessons, and reflection. The course is not an advanced academic Tafsir degree, and it does not promise that five monthly classes will complete the Quran.
Reading
Recognising and reciting the Arabic text. Useful here, but not the whole course.
Translation
Following the meaning of the Arabic in another language. An aid, not identical to the original.
Tafsir
Scholarly explanation and interpretation. Used where a translation is not enough — not invented in the lesson.
Reflection
Thinking about lessons and personal relevance after the meaning is reasonably clear.
Application
Considering how already-clear, well-established guidance relates to daily life — not issuing a ruling.

Open a manageable passage. Read the Arabic if you can, then follow a reliable translation of the same verses.

Collect a few living words and clarify what the passage is doing where the translation is not enough.

Name the central theme and, where it helps, the surrounding context — without inventing a historical scene.
